The Gleneagles Hotel
Set in 850 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside in the heart of Scotland, overlooking the rolling Ochil hills, The Gleneagles Hotel is only an hour from either Glasgow or Edinburgh airports. Take a morning walk around the grounds, absorb the stunning views, fill your lungs with the fresh Scottish air, and wile away the time with the great offering of leisure facilities and country pursuits activities.
The Gleneagles Hotel, renowned as the ultimate destination for luxury and hospitality, recently revealed a stunning redesign of its top floor accommodation. This comprises 10 new ‘Spirit’ suites, named after brands from the world leading drinks company Diageo, Gleneagles’ parent company. Included within the configuration is the split-level Blue Tower Suite, which is housed in the original main tower, sitting grandly over the hotel’s main entrance. The Blue Tower Suite undoubtedly offers the most luxurious accommodation in Scotland.
Measuring approximately 170sqm, this magnificent suite is split over two levels boasting two luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms situated on the lower floor, with a spiral staircase leading up to a mezzanine lounge. Perfect for relaxing after a stroll across the estate, the lounge is a large, light filled space with a dining area and features a wall mounted Sony home cinema and PlayStation 3.
Award-winning international interior designer, Amanda Rosa, has been commissioned to create the interiors, which will incorporate boldly patterned contemporary fabrics in rich bitter chocolate and teal tones contrasted against neutral coloured walls. Highly polished wood and chrome furniture, elegant lamps and rich leathers will create a sleek look, along with the oversized sofas, perfect to sink back and unwind in.

The Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA
The new Spa at Gleneagles by ESPA is a sanctuary within the hotel. The design of the spa draws on a winning combination of contemporary and classic, resulting in a cutting edge spa experience that is in keeping with the hotel’s image. The spa includes 20 spacious treatment rooms, many of which have private bathrooms. One of the boldest features of the spa is the dark brown, almost black, vitality pool, lit by fibre optics to stunning effect. In contrast to the dark sumptuousness of the heat and relaxation spaces, the Courtyard is light and airy.
Golf
With sweeping views from all around the tees and springy moorland turf underfoot, it’s no wonder Gleneagles is famous for its golf. The Gleneagles Hotel offers the chance to play on the world’s finest golf courses with its three championship golf courses: The Queen’s Course, threading through beautiful woodland; the King’s Course, which has been testing golfer since 1919; and the challenging PGA Centenary Course, which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup.

Gleneagles have recently refurbished their Club Area facilities with a Games Room for teens, equipped with Sony Playstations, a jukebox and beanbags, and a Play Area for children with sand pit, water play area and storytelling corner.
