Kemp Townhouse, Brighton
Kemp Townhouse, Brighton’s hottest new boutique hotel is opening this July, in the heart of the city’s trendy Kemptown quarter. The Regency-style property has been intricately refurbished, retaining many of its original features and character. It boasts nine en-suite bedrooms and a spacious first floor lounge that blends old world elegance, contemporary style and a healthy dose of English eccentricity - a rediscovery of Brighton’s belle epoch era.
This is the first boutique hotel project for hotelier Claas Wulff and management consultant Russell Braterman. Following a successful career in Corporate Social Responsibility, Claas chose to retrain at hotel management school in Hamburg, Germany to prepare him for the creation of his life-long dream. Working within all departments across two of Germany’s most prestigious five star hotels, his impressive experience is reflected in his attention to detail and superior service at Kemp Townhouse.
From the moment guests reach the imposing front door, they are transported into the grandeur of a bygone age. Soft lighting and a roaring fire create an atmosphere in which guests can’t help but relax. The quiet colours and neutral shades of the fabrics contrast with the darker tones of the furniture, creating a calm and distinctive effect. The signature interior pieces have been hand picked from around the world including Paris, Amsterdam, Athens and New York, resulting in a highly exclusive look.
All of the bedrooms have stylish en-suite wet rooms and boast their own individual features such as beautiful antique fireplaces, freestanding baths or indulgent four poster beds. Every comfort is provided, including thick white towels, luxurious soft bathrobes, scented candles and exclusive South African toiletries by Charlotte Rhys.
Breakfast is a key focus at Kemp Townhouse, taken either in the light and airy lounge area with its expansive sea views or delivered to your bedroom for a more private affair. The talented and creative chef offers an unsurpassed breakfast menu using locally sourced, organic ingredients wherever possible. Freshly made to order and waiter served on elegant tableware, nothing is too much trouble.
Kemp Townhouse assures its guests an unparalleled personal service. Unwind in the lounge with complimentary afternoon tea or evening aperitif or soak in a rose-petal bath after a full day enjoying Brighton’s famous shops and sights. Take a massage in the comfort of your own bedroom or make the most of the Claas and Russell’s insider knowledge and book into one of Brighton’s top restaurants.
Sophisticated… bohemian… welcoming… Kemp Townhouse epitomises the unique Brighton feel.
Kemp Townhouse opens on July 1st 2008 and rooms start at £65 per night for a single, £115 per night for a double.
