Black Card

Eight is a new private members’ club, centrally located in the heart of the City of London. Situated on Cornhill, opposite The Royal Exchange, the entrance is a concealed doorway on Change Alley. Eight is uniquely designed club, providing an exclusive and discreet haven in which members can enjoy the simple pleasures of sublime drinks, great service and good company. Members can only access the club by their personal swipe card and then be authorised by the finger print recognition system.

Eight occupies two significant basement areas, with luxurious design and bespoke furnishings and exceptional facilities and services. Each floor has complimentary wireless internet connection throughout and phone boosters to increase mobile reception. Business centre facilities allow members to have the use of laptops, send and receive faxes and arrange reservations and bookings.

The Members Bar and Lounge, on the first basement level, provides a relaxed and comfortable setting for members to engage in business meetings or to enjoy socially. Eight is open from 8.00am Monday to Friday with breakfast served until 10.30am and a light menu available throughout the day. The profoundly stocked bar serves an extensive selection of fine wines, premium spirits and a carefully developed cocktail list. The club will also be happy to source and research members own requests including fine and rare vintages and specific spirits which can then be stored in the members’ cabinet.

Adjoining the lounge, are three 9 ft championship Brunswick pool tables, available for members use. Also located on this floor are three state of the art and self contained meeting rooms (Seigel, Keaton, Truman), which are able to accommodate 4 to 6 people. Each has its own private bar, LCD screen, DVD player, Sony Playstation, IPod dock and sound system. These rooms are ideal for private meetings during the day and for private gaming in the evenings.

The second level, which has a separate bar, has been designed specifically to provide more extensive meeting and conference facilities. Having only recently opened, the new level consists of four larger meeting rooms (Duke Room, Moss Room, McCall Room, Rockingham Suite), which can accommodate between 6 people and 120 people. All the rooms are uniquely designed with state of the art equipment and services.

Located within the Rockingham Suite, is a luxury private cinema which seats 15-20 comfortably. The cinema is ideal for private screenings, presentations and product launches. During the day, an F1 simulator is attached to the cinema screen which is available for use by the members.

Members are also provided with exclusive benefits and privileges, including preferential rates for luxury services and businesses, including Virgin Active Health Club, The Threadneedles Hotel, SilverJet and Gentleman’s Tonic.

Every month, unique events are held at Eight, including wine and spirit tastings and pool competitions. Also other activities will be arranged for next year, including driving and shooting days out.
